Pavoclinus pavo, known commonly as the Peacock klipfish in South Africa,[2] is a species of clinid in the genus Pavoclinus.[3] It is a subtropical blenny found from Namibia to South Africa, in the southeastern Atlantic Ocean.[3] It was named by J.D.F. Gilchrist and W.W. Thompson in 1908, originally under the name Clinus pavo,[4] and can reach a maximum length of 15 centimetres.[3] Blennies in this species feed primarily off of amphipods, isopods, mollusks, and worms.[5]
